ArcelorMittal and Moeve S.A. established a 50-50 partnership to launch a new industrial decarbonization platform. The collaboration is titled the Green Molecules to Green Steel (G2G) partnership.
The initiative focuses on scaling innovative technologies to accelerate the transition to low-emission steel production. The platform will utilize green molecules including biomethane and renewable hydrogen.
The partners will also integrate carbon capture and artificial intelligence to optimize industrial processes. This move supports ArcelorMittal’s existing XCarb® low-emissions steel projects currently operating in Spain.
