Microsoft has launched its India South Central datacenter region in Hyderabad, designating the facility as a strategic hub for Asia and the Global South.
The launch marks a significant step in the company’s $20.5 billion investment commitment to India. The new region features a resilient three-zone architecture designed for sustained infrastructure expansion.
The facility utilizes AI-capable hardware and high-efficiency cooling systems that require zero water for operation. This infrastructure allows local organizations to deploy sensitive AI workloads while addressing specific security, compliance, and sovereignty requirements.
