Microsoft announced that Volkswagen Group is deploying its Copilot AI assistant to more than 330,000 employees. The rollout is intended to boost productivity, speed up decision-making and improve knowledge-based processes across the company.
The deployment extends AI use across core functions, including engineering, production, procurement and sales. In an earlier phase involving AI-powered chat, Volkswagen recorded more than 300,000 monthly active users, according to Microsoft.
The expansion moves Volkswagen beyond personal productivity tools toward broader AI use across its operations, as part of the group’s phased approach to adopting AI.
