The White House has established the Super Intelligence Force to assess the risks and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence. The task force must produce a report within 120 days to help define the federal government’s role in overseeing the rapidly advancing technology.

Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton will chair the group, effectively serving as the administration’s AI czar.

The move follows a recent meeting between President Trump and leaders from Nvidia, OpenAI and Anthropic. The companies agreed to a set of voluntary safety principles.
