OpenAI appointed Brian McCarthy as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. McCarthy joins from SpaceX to scale the company's enterprise business.
Chief Revenue Officer Dali Rajic hired McCarthy after joining in August 2026. Rajic and McCarthy previously worked together at AppDynamics.
OpenAI also recruited Mark Fleming from Snowflake. Fleming previously served as Snowflake's SVP of enterprise sales. Jaime Patel joined the company from Snowflake as well. Patel formerly led North American enterprise sales engineering as a VP.
These hires strengthen OpenAI's competition against rivals like Anthropic. The expansion supports a push for corporate clients and a potential IPO.
