Microsoft’s Xbox has reportedly secured exclusive cloud-streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI, according to sources familiar with the company’s plans. The deal would make the game exclusive to Xbox Cloud Gaming at launch, though the length of the exclusivity period is unclear.

The reported deal comes as Microsoft seeks to strengthen its game-streaming service ahead of the game’s expected release on November 19, 2026. Xbox Cloud Gaming is also expanding its access tiers in November.

Sony has a significant marketing partnership with Rockstar Games for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5. Exclusive streaming rights could give Microsoft a point of difference and help attract users to Xbox Cloud Gaming.
