Marvell Technology announced two additions to its connectivity portfolio for advanced AI infrastructure: the Alaska E 3.2T protocol-aware retimer and the second-generation Alaska A 1.6T AEC DSP. The company also said it is collaborating with Microsoft and Oracle to form a new Open Compute Project (OCP) working group to standardize hardware security in data centers.

Marvell shares fell in trading amid a broader sell-off in technology and semiconductor stocks. The decline was attributed to investor concerns about the high cost of AI infrastructure buildouts and rising competition from Chinese chipmakers. The drop came despite an upbeat recent Investor Day, where Marvell projected significant long-term growth.
