Altria (MO) shares have fully recovered from a 19% decline recorded earlier this year. A federal crackdown on illicit disposable vaping products drove the stock's rebound. This enforcement slowed the migration of smokers to unauthorized electronic cigarettes.

The smokeable products segment reported a 6.3% increase in adjusted operating income for the first quarter of 2026. Management attributed this growth to reduced competition from illegal vaping alternatives.

Altria reported a 7.3% year-over-year rise in adjusted diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance of $5.56 to $5.72.
