Momentus Inc. secured a NASA task order to support the mission formulation phase of the Fleet for the Atmosphere Linking Commercial Observations with NASA (FALCON)-Lidar mission.
The mission utilizes small satellites to collect atmospheric science data by integrating NASA-developed instruments onto commercial satellite platforms.
Momentus will provide proprietary technologies and services to support this initial phase.
This work establishes the groundwork for a potential follow-on contract to build and fly a satellite for the mission.
CEO John Rood stated that the partnership with NASA remains a core contributor to the company's revenue.
