Mercedes-Benz AG signed a joint testing agreement with ProLogium Holding Inc. to evaluate new solid-state technology.
The deal grants the automaker priority access to ProLogium’s Gen4 Superfluidized All Inorganic Solid State Battery cells. These cells feature high energy density and enhanced safety characteristics.
Mercedes-Benz will conduct electrical, thermal, and safety assessments at its own facilities. These tests will determine the technology’s viability for future vehicle integration.
The agreement builds on a partnership lasting nearly a decade. Mercedes-Benz previously made a significant investment in the Taiwanese battery developer.
