Mastercard launched Wallet Pay to provide interoperability for 4.3 billion digital wallet users worldwide. The platform connects various digital wallets across borders through NFC, QR codes, and online channels. Providers use Mastercard’s global network to facilitate daily spending and cross-border transfers.
The initiative includes major partners such as Alipay+, TenPay Global, Mercado Pago, and DaviPlata. Alipay+ brings its network of wallets including AlipayHK, GCash, and KakaoPay to the platform. The collaboration expands wallet acceptance to millions of Mastercard merchant locations globally. This system connects over 3.7 billion Mastercard credentials to these digital wallets.
