Eli Lilly announced positive 52-week results from two Phase 3b trials. The trials showed its weight-loss drug Zepbound, combined with arthritis treatment Taltz, improved outcomes for patients with psoriatic disease and obesity. This combination therapy demonstrated superior and sustained improvements in disease activity and metabolic health compared to Taltz alone.

One trial involved psoriasis patients. 30.6% of patients on the combination therapy achieved complete skin clearance and at least 10% weight loss. This compared to 4.4% for patients on Taltz alone.

A separate trial focused on psoriatic arthritis. 39.2% of patients on the combination treatment saw at least a 50% reduction in disease activity and 10% weight loss. This compared to 1.7% for patients on monotherapy.

The trials identified no new safety concerns. Adverse events were generally mild to moderate.
