Jefferies analysts forecast Eli Lilly’s new oral obesity drug, Foundayo, will generate $71 million in U.S. sales for its debut quarter ending June. The FDA approved Foundayo on April 1, 2026, as the weight-loss market shifts toward oral GLP-1 treatments.
Foundayo currently trails the early prescription pace set by Novo Nordisk’s oral version of Wegovy. Despite the slower start, analysts project Foundayo’s full-year 2026 sales could reach $1.6 billion.
Lilly markets Foundayo as a more convenient alternative to Novo's pill. Unlike oral Wegovy, patients can take Foundayo without specific food or water restrictions.
