Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks outlined a strategy to secure growth into the 2030s during a CNBC interview.
The company committed over $25 billion to more than 12 deals during 2026. These investments aim to build a next generation of products to diversify beyond the current obesity and diabetes franchise.
Lilly will reinforce its weight-loss leadership while simultaneously investing in technologies for other diseases. Ricks acknowledged that the strategy involves high-risk, early-phase bets that may not all succeed.
The company expects these acquisitions to provide significant revenue drivers over the next decade.
