L3Harris Lands $4.7 Billion Missile Deal, Expanding Navy Drone Defense

L3Harris Technologies announced two major defense contract awards on Tuesday.

The company secured a $4.7 billion propulsion award from Lockheed Martin, its largest ever for the PAC-3 program. This seven-year contract covers production for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptor. L3Harris is expanding its Camden, Arkansas, manufacturing facilities to meet demand. These new facilities are expected to be operational by 2027.

Additionally, the U.S. Navy selected L3Harris to provide VAMPIRE counter-drone systems. These systems will defend against unmanned threats in maritime and coastal environments. While financial terms were not disclosed, the deal expands a customer base that already includes the U.S. Army.
