LG Electronics will establish a new Robotics Business Center on July 1, 2026. The center will report directly to CEO Lyu Jae-cheol to prioritize robotics as a core growth engine. This organizational realignment occurs ahead of the company's standard annual schedule to accelerate commercialization efforts.

The new unit consolidates business development, sales, and manufacturing operations. LG aims to transition into a leading Physical AI solution provider through a three-pillar strategy. This approach targets the industrial, commercial, and residential robotics sectors.

The center will also launch a dedicated data factory organization. This facility will support robot training and the development of the LG Robot Foundation Model (RFM). These initiatives are designed to create a comprehensive robotics portfolio and strengthen market competitiveness.
