Kimberly-Clark’s proposed $40 billion acquisition of Kenvue has received antitrust approval from China’s State Administration for Market Regulation, marking a significant step toward closing the deal.
The combination would bring together Kimberly-Clark brands including Huggies and Kleenex with Kenvue products such as Tylenol and Band-Aid. The deal is expected to create a global powerhouse in consumer health and personal care.
Earlier in October, European Union regulators conditionally approved the transaction, requiring Kimberly-Clark to divest certain feminine hygiene brands to preserve competition.
