Kinross Gold lowered its 2026 and 2027 production outlook to between 1.84 million and 1.86 million gold equivalent ounces annually. This revision represents a 2% to 3% reduction from previous guidance. Extreme weather and operational challenges at the La Coipa mine in Chile and Round Mountain in the U.S. triggered the change.

The company increased its 2026 shareholder return target to 50% of free cash flow. This is an increase from the previous 40% target. Kinross has returned approximately $800 million to shareholders so far in 2026, primarily through share repurchases.
