A proposed Allentown, Pennsylvania, data center operated by Keel Infrastructure Corp. (NASDAQ: KEEL) received conditional land development approval from the Allentown Planning Commission on October 13. Project developer Quantm Group plans to convert a 224,000-square-foot warehouse for the facility. Its reported capacity is 75 to 80 megawatts.

The project faced local opposition over noise and environmental impacts. The commission set conditions that include limits on megawatt usage and restrictions on generator operations. It also required air quality and noise testing. The approval followed the withdrawal of a zoning appeal by a neighboring property.

The developer estimates the project could generate about $4 million in annual city revenue.
