Johnson & Johnson announced new analyses from its Phase 3 MajesTEC-3 study of TECVAYLI and DARZALEX FASPRO in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. [1, 4] The results showed sustained disease control and a significant overall survival improvement compared with standard care. [9]
A statistical model based on trial data projected that approximately 87% of patients treated with the combination could have life expectancy and mortality risk comparable to those of an age-matched general population. [1, 7, 8] The model also projected median overall survival could be nearly four times longer than with standard treatments. [4]
A separate analysis found the therapy reduced the risk of disease progression by 90% compared with standard care. [1, 9] At three years, an estimated 83% of patients receiving the combination were still alive. [4, 10] The estimated three-year survival rate in the standard-care group was 65%. [4, 10]
