Johnson & Johnson announced long-term results from the Phase 3 ICONIC-TOTALa study of ICOTYDE® (icotrokinra), an oral treatment for plaque psoriasis. Presented at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress 2026, the data showed sustained skin clearance over two years, including in difficult-to-treat areas such as the scalp and genitals.

At 112 weeks, 70% of patients treated with ICOTYDE had clear or almost clear skin. Among patients with scalp psoriasis, 60% achieved complete clearance. Among those with genital psoriasis, 89% achieved complete clearance.

The safety profile remained consistent with previous findings, and no new safety signals were identified. The results support ICOTYDE’s potential as a first-line systemic therapy.

One source reported that Johnson & Johnson shares rose 0.46% on October 2, the day of the announcement. The clinical data followed a recent Bank of America report that raised its peak sales forecast for ICOTYDE to $4.5 billion.
