JD.com said it has surpassed 700 million active shoppers. The company credited growth to investment in integrated online-to-offline services, including physical malls and food delivery, which encourage daily engagement and customer loyalty.

The strategy differs from that of asset-light competitors that rely heavily on discounts. JD.com is expanding its physical footprint into lower-tier cities and aims to turn foot traffic into consistent online sales. It is also courting international brands by offering them more control over inventory and brand equity, seeking to attract consumer segments with high retention.

Separately, JD.com delivered more than 30,000 iPhone 18 Pro series devices in China during the first hour of their launch. The company also opened 101HOME, its first premium home and lifestyle retail destination, in Shanghai.
