Intesa Sanpaolo filed the formal offer document with Italian regulator CONSOB for Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS). This voluntary tender and exchange offer targets all outstanding shares of the lender.

The proposed transaction is valued at approximately €30.6 billion. This procedural step advances the takeover bid originally announced on June 8, 2026.

The merger aims to create one of the leading banking groups in Europe. Intesa Sanpaolo expects the deal to generate significant operational synergies.
