IREN Ltd. (IREN) shares fell nearly 5% in premarket trading. The decline followed a September 14 warning from CEO Daniel Roberts regarding an artificial intelligence computing supply crunch.

Roberts detailed critical industry bottlenecks in a post on social media platform X. He reported that high-bandwidth memory (HBM) suppliers have sold out for the year.

Significant delays in data center construction also constrain the market. He emphasized that demand from major tech players remains seemingly endless.

Roberts noted that current AI requirements exceed the computing power the industry can build for several years.
