Samsara launched Samsara MCP (Model Context Protocol). This new platform integrates real-time operational data into third-party AI applications. It eliminates the need for custom integrations. Authorized users can analyze live information from vehicles, equipment, and other systems. This analysis occurs directly within existing AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
The MCP platform connects physical operations with business functions such as finance and HR. It provides a holistic organizational view. The system grants AI agents permissioned, read-only access to query operational data. This data includes vehicle locations, safety events, and hours of service. It utilizes the same security and user permissions as the main Samsara dashboard. The service is now available to all Samsara customers.
