IonQ closed its $2 billion public offering on October 16, 2026. The transaction consisted of common stock and pre-funded warrants priced at $40.00 per unit. Each unit included two accompanying Series C Warrants. J.P. Morgan Securities LLC acted as the sole underwriter for the deal.

The company will use the capital to accelerate the commercialization of its full-stack quantum platform. This injection provides IonQ with significant strategic flexibility for future growth.

The offering follows IonQ’s recent acquisition of cybersecurity firm Elisity. These successive equity-heavy transactions triggered investor concerns regarding shareholder dilution. The stock experienced notable price volatility leading up to the closing of the offering.
