Intel started expanding its Santa Clara, California campus. This project aims to accelerate U.S. manufacturing capabilities. It responds to growing interest in Intel's foundry services from major technology companies. The expansion will increase capacity for next-generation EUV photomasks, essential for future process nodes.
The new development features two three-story buildings. These buildings will house manufacturing, fabrication, and utility operations. The expansion will support production for advanced process nodes, including 18A-P and 14A. Intel must keep the project on schedule to qualify for the 35% Investment Tax Credit. Projects must break ground by the end of 2026 for this credit.
