Infosys plans to move between a quarter and a third of its workforce into specialist roles. It also plans to build a team of about 6,000 frontier engineers focused on developing cutting-edge skills.
The shift comes amid rapid technological change and growing competition for talent from AI labs. Infosys is recruiting at top-tier Indian institutes and US campuses to find people with the required expertise.
The company announced the initiative at its annual Americas confluence in Washington, D.C.
