Infineon Technologies announced on September 25, 2026, that it will launch its new semiconductor factory in Thailand on October 1. The company has invested more than 48 billion Thai baht (approximately $1.44 billion) in the facility, which is expected to strengthen Thailand’s chip industry.
The plant will produce power modules for electric vehicles, energy systems and data centers. Infineon expects the expansion to create more than 5,000 local jobs and plans extensive training for Thai technology professionals.
The investment aligns with Thailand’s strategy to attract investment in its semiconductor sector.
