IDEAYA Biosciences and Genentech, a Roche Group member, have launched a clinical collaboration to evaluate a combination therapy for pancreatic cancer. The trial tests IDEAYA’s investigational drug IDE892 alongside Genentech’s KRAS G12D inhibitor, GDC-7035.

Researchers will focus on patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) harboring both MTAP-deletion and KRAS G12D mutations. This specific co-mutation affects up to 15% of pancreatic cancer patients. There are currently no approved targeted treatment options for this patient population.

Genentech will sponsor the clinical trial, while IDEAYA provides the IDE892 supply. Both companies retain all commercial rights to their respective compounds. The agreement expands IDEAYA’s IDE892 program, which is currently undergoing testing with multiple agents.
