i-80 Gold Corp. has filed an updated Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for its Granite Creek Underground Project in Nevada. The study establishes an initial mineral reserve estimate and outlines the project's economics and production profile over an 8.5-year mine life. The project is currently an operating mine ramping up towards steady-state, with commercial production expected in late 2026.
Key Details
- Project Economics: Based on a $2,750/oz gold price, the study projects an after-tax Net Present Value (NPV) of $118 million (at a 5% discount rate) and total after-tax cash flow of $153 million.
- Production & Mine Life: The project has an 8.5-year mine life with total expected recovered gold of 485,000 ounces. Average annual gold production is projected at 75,100 ounces during the peak 2028-2032 period.
- Operating Costs: All-in Sustaining Costs (AISC) are estimated at $1,915/oz for the steady-state period (2028-2032) and $2,273/oz over the life-of-mine, excluding the Lone Tree Plant refurbishment capital allocation.
- Initial Mineral Reserve: The PFS establishes an initial Proven and Probable Mineral Reserve of 2.2 million tonnes containing 556,500 ounces of gold at an average grade of 7.87 g/t Au.
