Himadri Speciality Chemical is launching a ₹1,300 crore capital expenditure plan for the coming year. This investment focuses on expanding the company's presence in the lithium-ion battery materials supply chain. The firm is transitioning from its traditional carbon business to an integrated battery materials platform.

The expansion includes developing cathode and anode inputs to support domestic manufacturing. Himadri will build India’s first commercial carbon nanotube facility with an initial ₹70 crore investment. The company has already allocated ₹1,125 crore toward a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) project.

Management aims to generate ₹30,000 crore in annual revenue from battery chemicals within six years. This strategic shift represents a long-term growth plan for the speciality chemical producer.
