Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a collaboration with QuEra Computing. The partnership integrates QuEra's neutral-atom, fault-tolerant quantum computing systems with HPE's Cray supercomputers. This enables on-premise deployment of hybrid quantum-classical systems. These systems will be deployed at high-performance computing (HPC) centers, national laboratories, and large enterprises.
The initiative provides customers a path to integrate quantum capabilities within existing infrastructure. This targets customers with data sovereignty and security requirements. The collaboration will build integrated testbeds. It will also co-develop hybrid algorithms. These algorithms allow quantum processors to work alongside classical supercomputers for complex computational tasks.
This move deepens the existing relationship between HPE and QuEra. It supports U.S. national initiatives, including the Department of Energy's Genesis Mission. The Genesis Mission seeks to combine supercomputing, AI, and quantum systems. QuEra will now offer on-premise solutions through HPE. It will also provide future cloud access to its fault-tolerant systems.
