Honeywell has introduced Forge Cognition, an AI platform designed to automate and manage commercial buildings and industrial sites. The company developed the platform with Nvidia and Dell Technologies, integrating their AI and infrastructure technologies.

Forge Cognition uses AI agents and digital twins—virtual replicas of physical systems—to monitor equipment, predict failures and optimize energy use in real time. It connects to existing facility management systems, helping operators prioritize critical alerts and simulate operational changes to improve efficiency and reliability.

The platform is designed to complement human operators. They can choose manual, semi-autonomous or fully autonomous modes and can override the system.

Honeywell is piloting the technology at its own campuses and other locations, including Vanderbilt University and Nvidia’s Voyager campus.
