Thales S.A. signed a formal tender offer agreement to acquire Exail Technologies on July 31, 2026. The move aims to strengthen capabilities in autonomous underwater warfare and inertial navigation.
The agreement formalizes negotiations initially announced on July 6. Thales will launch a mandatory tender offer for all Exail shares not held by the Gorgé family.
The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2027. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals.
Separately, Thales secured a NATO contract to deliver a TACAN air navigation system to Spain. This deal reinforces the company's role as a primary supplier for the defense alliance.
