SpaceX has raised its data center capacity target to about 13 gigawatts by 2027, according to research firm SemiAnalysis. The new target is up from 10GW announced two months earlier.
The build-out is planned over the next 1.5 years. SemiAnalysis said it would roughly match the total data center capacity Google built between 1999 and 2026.
SemiAnalysis said it has identified more than 9GW of capacity across SpaceX sites. Of that, 3.6GW is under active construction.
Some facilities are targeting build times of four to five months. That pace could make SpaceX the world’s fastest data center builder.
The added computing capacity is expected to support SpaceX’s ventures, including Elon Musk’s xAI, and be rented to external customers.
