Recursive has released Flint, a 40-billion-parameter, open-weight coding model available under an Apache 2.0 license. The company describes it as a high-performance, efficient model that delivers fast inference on commercially available hardware.

The model’s development was largely automated by Recursive’s proprietary Eureka Machine, an AI system designed to streamline research and development. Flint is Recursive’s first major product release.

Recursive emerged from stealth in 2026. It raised more than $650 million in Series A funding from investors including Google Ventures, NVIDIA and AMD.
