Donald Harrison, Google's President of Global Partnerships, resigned from SpaceX's board of directors. He served on the board for over 11 years. His departure became effective November 4. A regulatory filing on November 6 disclosed the resignation. Alphabet now lacks a formal seat on the aerospace company's board.

Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO, attributed the resignation to "simply too many conflicts of interest with Alphabet." Alphabet remains the largest institutional investor in SpaceX. Its stake is valued at approximately $74 billion. Alphabet recently increased its holding. Both companies affirmed the departure was not due to any disagreement. Their strong commercial partnership, which includes a significant cloud computing deal, will continue.
