Google is rolling out its Personal Intelligence feature for the Gemini AI assistant in vehicles, giving drivers more personalized, hands-free help. Gemini can securely access and process information from a user’s Gmail, Calendar, Maps and Photos to answer complex, context-aware questions.
Drivers can use natural voice commands to ask for information while on the road. For example, Gemini can find a flight gate in an email or navigate to a doctor’s appointment listed in a calendar.
The feature is opt-in, and users choose which apps Gemini can access. It is available now on Android Auto and will come to cars with Google built-in in the following months.
