General Motors CFO Paul Jacobson stated the company is on track to finish 2026 near the high end of its full-year guidance. GM has already raised this guidance twice this year. Speaking at a J.P. Morgan conference, Jacobson attributed the strong performance to resilient consumer demand for trucks and SUVs. He also cited disciplined inventory management.

Jacobson projected free cash flow in 2027 will be substantially better than in 2026. He identified several multi-year tailwinds driving this improvement. These include declining costs from EV restructuring and better EV profitability. Lower warranty expenses and the launch of new truck models also contribute.
