Corning and AT&T announced a multi-year agreement valued at more than $3 billion to accelerate AT&T’s fiber network deployment. Corning will supply fiber-optic cables and related solutions for AT&T’s broadband expansion, which aims to connect 60 million Americans by 2030.
The agreement supports AT&T’s fiber-to-the-home strategy and secures supplies of components as demand for data grows with AI, streaming and gaming. It also supports U.S. manufacturing and strengthens Corning’s position as a telecommunications supplier. Corning shares rose notably in premarket trading after the announcement.
