Getinge has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its new 6Fr/48 cm Edi catheter, the company’s smallest Edi catheter. It is designed for use with Getinge’s NAVA technology in extremely premature infants.
The catheter is already available in other markets. Getinge plans to launch it in the U.S. before the end of the year.
Separately, a report that day said AQR Capital Management, a U.S.-based asset manager, had taken a public short position equivalent to 0.50% of Getinge’s capital. AQR is the company’s only public short seller. The position is notable given AQR’s focus on quantitative investment strategies.
