GE HealthCare has agreed to acquire Sofie Biosciences for $945 million in an all-cash deal. The acquisition will strengthen GE HealthCare’s Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) segment and expand its U.S. radiopharmaceutical business, especially in manufacturing and distributing time-sensitive drugs for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging.

Sofie operates 15 manufacturing sites across the U.S. that will join GE HealthCare’s network, helping it supply radioactive tracers used to diagnose and treat disease. The deal also gives GE HealthCare U.S. rights to FAPI-74, a pan-cancer PET radiotracer in Phase III development.

The companies expect the deal to close in the first half of 2027. Sofie will continue serving its existing customers after the acquisition.
