GE Aerospace plans to nearly double its spending with Indian suppliers. The company aims to reach approximately $400 million by 2030. This marks an increase from roughly $200 million spent in 2025. The initiative supports India's rapidly expanding aviation sector. India's aviation sector experiences a surge in air passenger traffic and aircraft demand.
The increased investment bolsters GE's domestic supply chain in India. This supply chain includes 17 major partners. The announcement coincided with the release of an Ernst & Young report. The report details GE Aerospace's economic impact in India over the last four decades. Indian carriers have ordered more than 1,700 new aircraft. Most of these aircraft will use engines from GE Aerospace or its partners.
