The proposed merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery is scheduled to close on October 6, 2026. The combined company, to be branded Skydance Corp., would control a large content library and studio brands including Paramount and Warner Bros.
The consolidation could affect content-licensing negotiations and competition among streaming services such as FuboTV. FuboTV was previously involved in antitrust litigation against a joint venture that included some of the merging parties.
