An affiliate of FTAI Aviation acquired four Airbus A321ceo aircraft for $100.7 million in cash. This purchase formed part of a larger sale by Spirit Airlines. Spirit Airlines received bankruptcy court approval for the sale. The airline's final portfolio comprised 27 aircraft. The total sale for this portfolio amounted to $668.1 million.
The transaction marks a major milestone in Spirit Airlines' liquidation. Spirit Airlines ceased all flight operations in May 2026. An entity controlled by Spirit's lenders acquired the remaining 23 aircraft from the portfolio. The deal adds four in-demand, current-generation narrowbody jets to FTAI's aviation asset portfolio.
