Fervo Energy received two U.S. Department of Energy awards totaling approximately $20 million. This funding accelerates the development of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) across the western United States.

In Idaho, Fervo will use the funds for drilling EGS wells in Elmore County. The project includes testing new high-temperature geothermal technology.

In Nevada, a separate grant supports an appraisal campaign in Humboldt County. This work aims to confirm the suitability of a specific reservoir for development.

The federal backing helps de-risk exploration for next-generation geothermal energy. These projects reinforce Fervo’s position in providing 24/7 carbon-free power.
