Freedom Holding Corp. announced that its subsidiary, Freedom Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş., has received an operating license from the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB). This makes it the first foreign brokerage firm with broad authorization to obtain such a license in Turkey in 34 years, a notable step in expanding the company's international footprint.
The move will bring Freedom Holding's brokerage expertise and its proprietary TraderNet trading platform to the Turkish capital markets. The company plans to create a two-way connection, providing investors in Turkey with access to international markets while also enabling its global client network to access investment opportunities on the Borsa İstanbul.
This expansion is part of a broader strategy to create an integrated financial ecosystem in Türkiye, combining capital markets and banking capabilities with lifestyle services through an advanced digital infrastructure. The company's brokerage business remains its core growth driver, accounting for about 39% of total net revenue.
