The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) selected Top End Mobility Group, a consortium led by Ferrovial, to deliver the I-285 East Express Lanes project near Atlanta. The public-private partnership has an expected construction value of $8.9 billion. It is Ferrovial’s first managed lanes project in Georgia. The project aims to reduce congestion and improve mobility in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The initial phase covers the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of approximately 21 miles of new express lanes. Tikehau Star Infra is also part of the consortium. Top End Mobility Group will collaborate exclusively with GDOT on future phases that would extend the network to roughly 37.5 miles.
