A consortium led by FedEx and Advent International cleared a major hurdle to acquire Polish parcel-locker firm InPost. Investors tendered 89.81% of shares in the takeover offer. This figure surpasses the required 80% minimum acceptance threshold.

The successful tender advances the €7.8 billion ($8.95 billion) all-cash deal first agreed upon in February. The acquisition grants FedEx a major foothold in Europe’s automated parcel locker network.

Following the transaction, InPost will delist from the Euronext Amsterdam exchange.
